About the Event

This course will provide the ‘basics of umpiring and scoring’ predominantly used as an introduction for pairs cricket, providing practical knowledge and understanding of the game when it comes to officiating. This is an interactive course and it covers everything from umpiring signals, understanding the crease, umpires roles, how to fill in a scoresheet and scorers roles.

This practical course will also address the teaching points / drills around the key skills at KS3 relating to cricket including bowling technique. This course aims to support staff to teach the sport, so that they develop a culture of cricket within their school.
